This pack extends and builds upon the skills introduced in pack 1. Early skills are developed systematically through a series of stories that bring the characters to life through illustrations and simple sentences. 

Again, there is a significant amount of repetition, and the child will be able to find meaning in simple words and easy to read sentences.

The pack also includes a Parent's Guide that explains some of the principles of learning to read and offers some suggestions on how you can help your child master one of the most important life skills.

This booklet contains information about, the important things to remember when reading with your child, revision of the content of Pack 1, ways of learning sight words and blending letters when reading. Also, at the end of the booklet there is a special section for non-Welsh speaking parents (the same as in Parents’ Guide 1) and translations of the five story books that are in pack 2.
