Description

Signed by the author.

The history of Richard Berwyn Jones who was one of the first group to travel on the 'Mimosa'. He was very prominent in his efforts to establish 'Y Wladfa' in Patagonia and he performed many roles to facilitate the work. He hasn't received much attention in publications up to now, considering his contribution. This volume is well researched and contains many images and documents that haven't been seen before.

    Oversight addressed.

A section of the foreword identifies with the thought that I've carried since my daughter Elaine researched John Berwyn's history, whilst recording our family tree, some 40 years ago. This was why so little was written about a parson who played such a substantial part in establishing the initial infrastructure and ethos of the settlement.
Graham has very effectively corrected this oversight and firmly connected Richard to the square mile in which my father "Griff" was born, brought up and went to school.
